What a profound point!
Lovely Franciscan Desert Rose
I am waiting….not patiently mind you, for the time when I am finally able to order this beautiful dinnerware. My maternal grandmother had a set, and God only knows what happened to that when she passed away. For years I had resigned myself to believing that I would never have it, but it seems as if the time may be closer at hand than I once believed! At any rate, I wanted to show you this and let you all know that Amazon has some very stylish and traditional dinnerwear place settings in addition to the Desert Rose. If you are looking to update your dinner table or just to have an extra set of attractive place settings, please check out my links to Amazon.com!
I think you’ll find just what you love, I know I did!
Make it a great day!!! 😀

Talk about “Yummy” on your 4th of July grilled
Hot Dogs, or even as a fresh side dish!
What You Will Need:
- 1 head green cabbage
- 3 baby carrots
- 1 small onion
- 1/4 medium bell pepper
- 1 1/2 cup Mayonaise

This one is a long time favorite comfort dish!
Delicious crispy crusted tenderized pork cutlets, seasoned lightly and fried to a light to medium golden brown, served with a down home creamy gravy is just the combination for a true “like Mama made” meal that is sure to please.
What you will need:
- 6-8 tenderized pork cutlets
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbs Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup canola oil
Season each side of the pork cutlets with a pinch of each spice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Old Bay and set aside. In a small bowl, whip eggs with a splash of the milk and set the rest of the milk aside for gravy. Add one tsp each of salt, pepper and garlic powder, along with one tbs of Old Bay. In another larger bowl, mix 1/12 cups flour and the remainder of spices. Dip each cutlet into egg mixture and roll evenly in the flour. Place in a medium frying pan that is preheated on medium heat and fry until golden brown. (Cook time 5-6 minutes per side depending on the thickness of the cutlet)
In the same frying pan, keep only 1/2 the grease from the pork, and add 1/2 cup flour and stir until browned. Once brown, add 1/2 cup milk and stir continuously until gravy thickens. (Add more milk or flour for desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over pork cutlets and enjoy!
(See my recipe for Home Fried Potatoes with Caramelized Onions for a tasty side!)
Yummy! There is really no better word for this!
What You Will Need:
- 3-4 medium red potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- black pepper
- chopped parsley
First, peel and slice onions into rings or half rings and add to medium frying pan preheated to medium heat. Stir often, add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 5-6 minutes until onions go translucent and caramelize. Remove from pan and set aside. Next, wash and slice potatoes in half, then slice each half into thin slices and add to onion pan and cook for 5 minutes then add onions and cook an additional 5-6 mins until fork tender.
Serve topped with parsley

I Know, Right? Sad but True!
Make it a great day, everyone!
One of my absolute favs!
Ok, I admit it! I am easily addicted to programs that showcase how “the other half” live. Of course, I could never afford to buy any of the beautiful and breathtaking properties that are bought and sold in New York City; however, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying seeing them. When I began watching this series, I was initially drawn in by the properties themselves. You know, the sheer elegance of some and eccentricities that they offer. It didn’t take long for me to also become interested in the agent’s personal stories as well. Ryan Serhant, the rather successful and nice looking, yet self-indulgent young agent, manages to close sales but has a very controversial way of getting the job done. Fredrick Eklund, the flamboyant, openly gay agent, is also very successful, and who is also known for some scheming and underhanded tactics, but always seems to get the job done. Both of these fellows have a soft spot for the people they love, and it is good to see them in that light as well. This year, the new agent on the block is Steve Gold It appears this handsome newcomer will have the storyline of looking for Miss Right while establishing himself as an agent to reckon with. No doubt, this show is easily one of my favorites!
The start new season caught me off guard, but now that I know it has started and I am caught up on the action, I can’t wait to see what this season brings!
If you are drawn to this kind of program, you can catch it on Thursday nights on Bravo at 9/8c. Catch up on all the Buzz on their link below! Enjoy!
Happy Fourth of July!
Please have a safe and happy holiday!
